ApotiowoMi is built privacy-first. The short version: your financial data stays on your device and syncs only to your own private iCloud account when iCloud is available. We do not operate a backend for your budgets or transactions, and we do not sell your data.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to ApotiowoMi, a personal budgeting app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It explains what data the app handles, how it is used, and how to contact us with questions.

Information we collect

We do not receive your budgets, budget items, categories, transactions, receipt images, receipt text, or financial notes. ApotiowoMi has no third-party advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

Data you create in the app

You may enter budgets, categories, planned items, transactions, notes, dates, amounts, and receipt-derived line items. This data is stored locally on your device using Apple system storage. If iCloud sync is enabled for your Apple account and device, the data may sync through your own private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit.

Sign in with Apple

ApotiowoMi uses Sign in with Apple as its sign-in method. The app stores the stable Apple user identifier in your device Keychain to keep you signed in. We do not request your name or email for core app use, and we do not receive or share this identifier through our own backend.

Camera and receipt scanning

The app may request camera access when you choose to scan a receipt. Receipt images are processed on device using Apple frameworks. The image is used for text recognition and is not uploaded to us. Only information you confirm in the app, such as item names and amounts, may be saved as budget or transaction data on your device.

On-device categorization

ApotiowoMi may use rule-based matching and, where supported and enabled, Apple on-device intelligence features to help categorize entries. Categorization is designed to run on device. We do not send your entry text to our own servers for categorization.

How information is used

Your app data is used to provide budgeting features, including creating budgets, calculating planned and actual amounts, showing category summaries, recording transactions, and helping categorize entries. Because we do not receive this data, we do not use it for advertising, profiling, resale, or third-party analytics.

iCloud and Apple services

When iCloud sync is available, ApotiowoMi uses Apple CloudKit to sync app data through your private iCloud account. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple's own privacy terms and account settings. We cannot access your private iCloud database.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal budgeting data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect rights and safety, but because we do not operate a backend containing your app data, we generally do not possess the budgeting records created in the app.

Data retention and deletion

Budgeting data remains on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account until you delete it, delete the app data, sign out of iCloud, or remove the app. Deleting a budget in the app removes that budget and its related budget data according to the app's deletion behavior. You can manage iCloud data through Apple's device and iCloud settings.

Your choices

• You can choose whether to grant camera access.
• You can edit or delete budgets, items, and transactions in the app.
• You can disable or manage iCloud sync through Apple device settings.
• You can uninstall the app from your device.

Children's privacy

ApotiowoMi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

ApotiowoMi uses Apple platform storage, Keychain, and iCloud technologies to help protect app data. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should also protect your device, Apple ID, passcode, and iCloud account.

International users

ApotiowoMi is operated from the United States. Apple services such as iCloud may process data according to Apple's infrastructure and legal terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
